Maker Spaces
From Tinker to Maker Spaces around the nation, I have been fortunate to work with institutions who have shaped the Maker movement
Art of Tinkering
I am a featured artist in a book from the Exploratorium’s Tinkering Studio that highlights artists who have inspired or directly contributed to the Tinkering Studio. I have been working with the Tinkering Studio since 2005 and introduced the popular activity Toy Take Apart based on my art work of animatronic creatures from used toys.
Playful Learning and Exploration (PIE)
I was an artist and activity developer for an NSF grant which organized learning institutes with partners such as the Science Museum of Minnesota, MIT Media Lab and Exploratorium.
Make:
Make: magazine was considered “the central organ” of the maker movement. Articles of my activities and contributions can be found in Make magazine.
Maker Faire
I have exhibited at many Maker Faires around the country since 2008.
Sustainival
Sustainival is the world’s first green Carnival! Powered by renewable energy and waste vegetable oil, the Canadian based organization runs large scale rides, midway events, and educational booths. Had a great time being an educational partner providing wind power walk up activities.
Instructables
An essential website for tinker and maker spaces, Instructables is a DIY online platform for anyone to learn and share. My Instructables contain creative wind and solar powered DIY inventions from REcharge Labs.
