Art Spaces
I work with creative spaces such as university art departments, sculpture parks, art museums and galleries to provide hands-on Science Technology Engineering and Math activities using Art as the teaching medium.
Walker Art Center
As Resident Teaching Artist I designed the teen workshop series Robo Plushy Retrofit which taught basic circuitry through the remaking and redesign of electronic toys.
For community day Remake/Revamp I led the popular Misfit Toys workshop which served over 400 participants of all ages.
Public Functionary
During my Artist in Residence at Public Functionary I curated a Naked Space event which used interactive based projection to engage the audience on the idea of digital self. Projects included a digital mirror shadow game, voice recording utilizing scat singing playback, and live action facial distortion.
Soap Factory
Through a research grant funded by the Institute on the Environment and in partnership with the Soap Factory and Northern Lights, I organized a free community Solar Artists workshop teaching the public how to make mobile solar powered sculptures. The workshop took place at the Soap Factory and included solar installers, artists working in solar and hands-on solar activities.
Franconia Sculpture Park
I lead a yearly sculpture workshop series for elementary and middle school students at Franconia Sculpture Park about wind and solar art. The program is funded by the Art in Rural Places initiative, which supports artists and provides free specialized tours and workshops for surrounding rural schools.
Silverwood Park
Funded by the Artist Initiative Grant, I worked with Silverwood Park staff and teen leaders to develop nature themed teen workshops and events leading up to the big yearly Field Trip festival.
Kulture Klub Collaborative
Kulture Klub Collaborative is an art center for homeless and at risk youth. During my Artist in Residence program I worked with youth on a weekly basis, and facilitated basic circuitry and toy take apart workshops. The residency culminated in a show of youth work.
